I. Unpacking & Setting Up
1. Open Safely: Be extremely careful when using a knife or scissors to cut the tape. Avoid cutting into the fibers or fabric inside.
2. Reshaping: Hold the wooden frame or hanging rod and give the piece a gentle shake to let the fibers loosen up and cascade naturally.
3. Aligning Cord for Fiber Pieces with Draped/Hammock Cords: Gently pull and adjust the sagging loops with your hands so they drape evenly and symmetrically on both sides.
If there are persistent wrinkles or creases from packing, you can use a clothing iron steamer on a low heat setting to gently iron and straighten the fibers.
4. Hanging Notes: Always select a wall hook, nail, or anchor that is suitable for the specific weight of your product to ensure it hangs safely and securely.
- Special Note for Fibers: These are fully pre-shaped. To maintain the perfect silhouette, simply align your wall hooks in a straight line, matching the exact distance of the built-in hooks on the back of the wooden frame.
II. Routine Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically dust the piece with a soft feather duster. A hairdryer on the cool setting can also gently blow away dust from crevices. Avoid using a high-powered vacuum cleaner directly on the delicate fibers.
- Ideal Environment: Display your artwork in a dry, ventilated area. Natural fibers like cotton absorb moisture, so avoid humid spots (like bathrooms or damp walls). Keep it out of direct, intense sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading or fiber brittleness.

- Natural Scent: New macrame or wood may have a distinct, natural scent. This is normal and will disappear after a few days in a well-ventilated space.
